Copy and paste that code just before the last } and your golden. I can't take credit for coding the fix....just finding it and passing it along. Was originally posted with about:blank - Dark Firefox.
I love this! However, some pages (e.g. yahoo! mail and gmail) incorrectly use the image in the input fields (e.g. when you compose a new message). This makes it very hard to use these pages.
I liked it, though I changed the background image and color. The blue simply doesn't match the red and black theme that I am running. I have had no problems with it whatsover, though I also have gmail styled. Perhaps that is why? Great job, though.
>> "if you are having problems with the CSS using an External image. try using this code http://andrewsprojects.googlepages.com/AboutBlankBlueFirefox.txt i would of used that to begin with.. but Userstyles kept erroring on the generated image code."
base64 code should have no linebreaks, combine the code into one string and it should work fine. sometimes the image doesnt appear at all.. so i'm using the suggested method.
I love this style! The only question I have is if you can stop it from taking up the "Reply" window in Gmail. I wouldn't mind if it was a lighter color, but I can't see what I'm typing.
I really like the way this looks. It is a great addition. I am also having the same problem that others had. During certain session, I lose the Blue Firefox and it is just blue without the logo. If I restart FF, it comes back. If it wasn't for this I would give it a "5". Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I'm no CSS/style expert, but don't ya always need to include the "!important" declaration (just before semicolon) for *each* item? Perhaps that's why users are having issues with your styles, eh? See code enclosed below, taken from "Firefox: Throbber image" userStyle, found at... http://userstyles.org/styles/931
Shortened code excerpt:
#navigator-throbber[busy="true"] { background-image: url("data:image/gif;base64, R0lGODlh...[condensed-for-this-example]...aXKgBgQAOw==") !important; background-position: center center !important; background-repeat: no-repeat !important; opacity: 1 !important; }
BTW: what theme(s) &/or add-on(s) have you installed to get that way-cool dark sleek browser look shown above in your pics -and- have you experienced any compatiblity issues with that theme and other addons/userStyles??? Include your response in description above.
*********************************************** FAQ Why are my styles getting applied when I first enable them, but then turn off when I browse back to the page or open a new window?
Long story short, to be able to override styles on a web page, Stylish styles have to be more important than them. This can be achieved by adding "!important" after every value. For example, color: blue !important; rather than color: blue. ***********************************************
XxXAndrewXxX,
This "!important" declaration after **each & every** value/item seems to be a common mistake & problematic (way too often!) in other userStyles as well. However, since about:blank is a locally generated html page- issues or conflicts due to the lack of "!important" may occur only if additional styles or addon/extensions are installed which then also change or effect the user's/browser's about:blank page! Hope this feedback helps.

Please fix/update your style(s) & I'll increase rating, accordingly.
Same thing happening here. it happens in all of the styles i load for the about:blank page. all i get is the background, but if i reload the style or delete it and save it again, it pops up. anyone have any ideas? besides that, this is a great style. if i could only get it working...
I love this but I'm having a similar problem with having the fox appear after the browser has been closed. It's works after I install it but when I close it down I stops when I reopen it.
This is great, but it doesn't seem to change with the time. I tried going back to the original, and now that one isn't changing with the time either. Any ideas as to how I can get it to change with the time again? I really like the night scenes better, I'm in the U.S. and was only getting daytime for some reason, regardless of where I my location.
I thought maybe I'd have better luck with Teahouse Midnight if I used stylish instead of greasemonkey, so I tried it. But when I went to save it told me there were errors in the code, and listed quite a few. I don't have a clue as to what to do, but maybe someone else does? If so, thanks in advance.
that's a great!!! but it's not show if I not go to your style and click "save". Then I try to use this image by save it in res and change URL to "resource:/res/index.jpg".it show up.But again, when i close firefox and start again this image is not show. But background color is showing. So I open your code and click save,it show again. Why???How can I fix this
Thank you,but it's the same. when start firefox it's won't show.when I click save or preview, it's show-up.So I try to use another code (about:blank centered img gray bg) and modifies some code. It's work but not fix when minimize because image is big.I like your image Thank you
Looks great but noticed a flaw when using Yahoo! Mail. When replying to a message the About:Blank Firefox logo shows up in the background of the body of the message. Just an annoyance. Doesn't affect anything. Other than that it's a nice looking extension.
