Evgueni pointed out to me that the "Load into the Stylish" button doesn't aways work as expected. Twice recently, I discovered that manual downloading (using copy and paste) of his script from http://www.naverniouk.com/design/gmail/gmail.css was required to get a fully functional script. This is a site issue, not a script issue. Great script Evgueni; keep up the good work!
I've used or checked out every skin I could find for Gmail, and this is the best in my opinion. It looks great, and has may usability features that set it aside from the others. I do run, simultaneously, a "Stylish" script called "Gmail Air Skin" which adds a little more style, and a few additional features. I also added a grey background and a Gmail logo that works better with that background (see http://jemez.org/image_files/small_images/Sleek-Gmail-with-Stylish-Gmail-Air-Skin.jpg). Thank you so much for making my Gmail interface look and work great.
Wow....this is even better than Air Skin. Is there any way you could add the message highlight feature that Air Skin uses. It highlights each message in the inbox as you pass the cursor over the message. Pick any color you like...silver gray would be great. Thanks, Jan
Minimalist Grey 1.1 is the nicest skin style I have seen for Gmail, but it has one flaw that keeps me from using it: when moving the cursor over messages in the inbox, or other message boxes for that matter, the preview of the selected message changes color. That is very useful, but when moving over a thread it more than doubles in size, thus making it very difficult to keep track of which is the next message in succession, and even more difficult to select it if you were to want that message. My description is not very good, but if you try it you will see what I mean immediately. The author probably meant to do this to identify a thread better, but caused an important loss of functionality. If the author could "fix" this, or perhaps send a fixed script to me, I would really appreciate it (jstudebaker@gmail.com). Other than that....I would have given it a 5.
