Removes all the clutter to leave just the comic, the title and the nav links, all on a dark background. Updated April 2012. Includes some extra styling to modify the following greasemonkey script to display the alt-text: http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/75663
Optimizes xkcd's page. Initial Release: May 29, 2008 -block that giant section on the bottom of every page -change the header image to the right -the comic now fills the browser June 5, 2008 -fixed header so that It'll work for many more people (99%) please send me requests or feedback on this one.
Firefox 4 introduces hardware acceleration into the browser. On Windows Vista and Windows 7, this acceleration uses DirectWrite for fonts if available, which is particularly sensitive to font weights. xkcd manually specifies values of "800" instead of relative values. GDI approximates the values, but DirectWrite produces fonts that are too big. This simple style does nothing more than change font-weights to their relative names to fix the problem.
Dark Minimalist supplement for xkcd.com
Only the comic strip is visible. Very useful with the Re-Pagination addon!
Gives xkcd a more earthy color scheme. Retains light blue background. Text is brown, links are green. Also gets rid of the rounded corners, no visual distinction between different sections of the page.
Remove everything but the logo, the comic, and the controls. Also includes styling for alt-text insertion using this greasemonkey script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/559 Inspired by xkcd - minimalist.
Cleans up the xkcd.com forums for users of the Prosilver theme, reducing it to a rather minimalist view that still contains everything necessary for easy viewing, navigation, and posting. Also removes the annoying scrollbars from overly-long codeboxes and posts, allowing them to stretch as far as they need to. The colorcoded line on the side tells you the status of the forum/thread. Lightblue and red are for read/unread threads you have *not* posted in and forums, while blue and darkred are for read/unread threads you *have* posted in. Announcement threads are killed by this theme, but they can still be viewed by hitting up your User Control Panel. Sticky threads are also killed, but can be unkilled by removing the ".sticky" from the first part. If you do so, they then show up with a darkgreen line. Usable as of May 2008. Future updates to the Prosilver theme may break portions of this, of course.
Removes logo & footer & makes the nav menu horizontal at the top.
Minimal fullscreen (besides the PNG) XKCD.
