Darker version of Stack Overflow
Dark theme in the Bathys style, which is closely related to the DeepDark theme. Code highlighting is using a scheme similar to the Oblivion Eclipse theme (but not quite the same, since the syntax highlighting works a bit differently on SO compared to Eclipse). For now, only works for StackOverflow - the other StackExchange sites have a lot of other styling to cut through. This will eventually change. Patches welcome!
In December 2013, the new black StackExchange™ MultiCollider SuperDropdown™ (the bar on top) was rolled out. Many of us felt the black too distracting, and other things missing. I've collected some ideas from Gallery of custom styles and/or scripts for the top-bar and decided to publish it here as UserScript to share.
Hi everyone, here's my first attempt using stylish. I felt that this excellent site could use the following improvements on the home page : - use "boxes" only where necessary - reduce visual impact of tags - bring the question asked to prominence by shifting the stats to the right - distinguish between answered, answer accepted, unanswered questions - remove "highlight" effect of the welcome box - try to stay within the same palette Please excuse any lazy code .. Enjoy !
Shows Stack Exchange sites favicons next to various Stack Exchange site links in Google search results. I find sites such as Stack Overflow, Server Fault, etc quite helpful, and this is designed to make those results stand out in a quick scan of the results list. Edit 2013-08-08: Added styles for a few other Stack Exchange sites besides Stack Overflow. For more comprehensive coverage a user script would work better, but I like the lower overhead of a user style. Comments and suggestions welcome.
As you know in stackoverflow.com in preferences of user, you can hide ignored tags, but you cannot hide the tags that are not marked either with interesting or with ignored. So if you just want to see all the questions in "yellow", the ones you have marked as interesting, this is your style.
I find the title area rather consuming, considering I hardly ever use it, its epic real-estate wastage. Included is a shrunken Logo too.
Two problems here: 1) Opacity makes XRender really slow and 2) Low priority questions waste screen space. Instead, they now are tinted red ( opacity disabled ), fonts shrunken, and the whole thing compacted down to ~20px high, and expands on mouseover( via :hover )
Adds some curviness to the Stackoverflow trilogy (stackoverflow.com, superuser.com, serverfault.com, meta.stackoverflow.com). I also hate the weird button like tags on SO so I made a kind of curvy wedge shape for them instead. I left a comment in the css to easily remove that if you don't like it.
