The author has marked this style as obsoleted by Dark Gmail .5 patch 3 β.
gmail changes break thread view
unresolved problems:
- some white lines at the right of thread view
- the coloring of email eddresses in thread view is not well adapted
- the tabs in thread view do not have top borders so they cannot be always distinguished (could be done by a replacement picture)
- when in search thread view the control for frobbing highlight slightly reaches into the first email header
- cannot style checkboxes and radio boxes
- cannot find the autocompletion box for email addresses. So it hs still lightblue background.
what should work: message list, compose, thread view, reply, address book
Minor fix:
- highlight .rr.sr in message list as well - fixes highlighting of checked read messages.
- apply the style only on mail.google.com so that other google subdomains do not get affected
I personally use a version with a bit darker foreground. I can post that as well if anybody is interested.
Install options
- Install Stylish for Firefox, Thunderbird, Flock, Mozilla Suite, SeaMonkey, or Songbird. If you have Stylish already, make sure you're using the latest version and have JavaScript enabled.
- You need Firefox with Stylish to use this style. Get it now, then Install Stylish, then come back here to install this style.
- - load into the Stylish extension where you can preview and save it.
- - this style has been updated since you installed it in Stylish.
- - Greasemonkey and Opera users can load this style as a user script.

whoa this is really good. everything seems to work fine and it looks you did not miss anything. could look a little bit better but thats it :)
