Try out Custom AppChan or Custom OneeChan and select the "Custom" color scheme to take a shot at making your own. Using the custom option without using either of the accompanying styles will result in an AppChan experience with default or no colors, which may work to your advantage if you'd rather start from nothing. Custom OneeChan Mascot should also be compatible with AppChan for easy mascot customization.
