Up to Firefox 4.0, the width of browser tabs could be configured with an about:config setting. This is no longer supported in 5.0 and newer. This style uses an application stylesheet to allow tabs to shrink until only the site icon is visible.
This style is intended for use with the browser.tabs.closeButtons setting set to 3 (a single tab close button at the end of the tab strip).
Additionally, in Firefox 12 the [List all tabs] button was made to disappear unless the tab strip is overflowing: rather inconvenient when using such a narrow minimal tab width that 50 tabs will fit on screen without overflow, identifiable only by their favicons. So this style now also forces the [List all tabs] button to be visible permanently.
