Otherwise like the mischievously obsoleted Google reader optim - AnonCrow edit search&folder , except commented the code a bit
Remember to block the following images for maximum effect

edit 20.12.2007:
Changed margins to make feed settings button usable on lower resolutions displays. Alternatively, just make your feed/tag titles shorter so the dropdown for search doesn't overlap the feed settings dropdown.
For #viewer-controls, changed margin-right from 5px to -8px
For #search, margin:-26px 0px 0px 30px ( 75px -> 30px)
For #search-restrict, margin:-1px 0px 0px 30px (50px -> 30px)
As result, some buttons overlap eachother a bit and the feed settings button if a bit off-sc
To use this style, install Firefox and Stylish.
