After editing install.rdf, Archive Manager will then ask you if you want to update the archive, which you can simply respond to with \"Update\".  After Archive Manager finishes the update, simply drag-and-drop the XPI file into a Firefox window, and proceed on your merry way.  Done.  And they say that Linux isn't user-friendly...\r\n\r\nWith that said...\r\n\r\nThis userstyle isn't so much a theme as it is a bunch of GNU/Linux-integration tweaks. Namely:\r\n* Migration of the Firefox application menu to the left side of the tabstrip,\r\n* Further restyling of the tabstrip, bringing Firefox's appearance a little bit closer to those of the mockups, and\r\n* Dragging of the window by the tabstrip, if the GTK+ theme allows it).\r\n\r\nSo far, only tested under Firefox 4.0b8pre/Ubuntu 10.10, using the following GTK+ themes:\r\n* Ambiance (works, but it's a little off-color with the menubar shown)\r\n* Radiance (works, but it's a little off-color with the menubar shown)\r\n* Clearlooks (works)\r\n* Dust (works)\r\n* Dust Sand (works, but has a doubled tabstrip border with the menubar shown)\r\n* Glossy (works)\r\n* Unity (works, but clashes a bit in the ways of the form-function balance)\r\n* Darkroom (works, but clashes a bit in the ways of the form-function balance)\r\n* Kin (works)\r\n* Impression (works)\r\n* Hanso (works)\r\n* Ambiance [the Lucid version] (works)\r\n* Radial (works)\r\n* Nimbus [the OpenSolaris theme] (works)\r\n* Chrome (works)\r\n\r\nEnjoy - and please note that Firefox 4.0b7 for Linux doesn't have the application menu!\r\n\r\nTO-DOS: \r\n* Post some screenshots of what this looks like with the full menubar shown.\r\n* Organize and clean-up the code.\r\n* See if anything can feasibly be done about Dust Sand's doubled-border.","author":"86lme3","created":"2010-11-29T08:25:45.000Z","created_ago":"over 15 years","updated":"2010-11-29T08:25:45.000Z","updated_ago":"over 15 years","category":"app","subcategory":"browser","weekly_installs":0,"total_installs":534,"rating":"none","isPremium":false,"screenshot":"https://userstyles.org/style_screenshot_thumbnails/40569_after.png?r=1775228484","license":"http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/"}
