Mozilla renders plain text files within HTML, BODY, and PRE tags, with no styling. You can observe this with Web Developer Toolbar, shown in the screenshots. The <pre> must be the only-child of <html><body>
Definately safe to always leave on, now.
This new version also styles View Source pages, which is now shown in the Before Screenshot.
I added chrome:// as a url-prefix, as well.

Install options
- Install Stylish for Firefox, Thunderbird, Flock, Mozilla Suite, SeaMonkey, or Songbird. If you have Stylish already, make sure you're using the latest version and have JavaScript enabled.
- You need Firefox to use this style. Get , then Install Stylish, then come back here to install this style.
- - load into the Stylish extension where you can preview and save it.

Been looking for something like this for absolutely ages. I'm sure staring at a bright white text screen late at night is having some effect on my eyes!
