I'll be leaving it up so others may review the code for use in their own styles, especially if they wish to write one for Gawker's new format. I don't plan on making a new one myself.\r\n\r\n** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **\r\n\r\nGawker Blogs - Minus Garbage Plus Width (Jan 2011)\r\n\r\nThis is a full cleanup of Gizmodo, Deadspin, Kotaku, Jezebel, io9, Jalopnik, Lifehacker, and Gawker, including its sub-sites, Gawker.TV (tv.gawker.com, actually), Valleywag, Cityfile, Defamer, and Stalker. They are all Gawker Media blogs, and thus share most of their styling, so I did my best to make this work on all of them. I've been working on this the last month or so, writing all the code myself, testing, and tweaking. As far as I know, the themeing applies across all the blogs uniformly. If you find something that's wrong or have a suggestion, please leave a comment.\r\n\r\nHave added all the tweaks I had planned but not implemented yet when I put this theme up early to combat the \"Cheetos Wars\" ads and banners. Only thing I might still add would be putting 'more about' links overtop the menubar instead of hiding them with the rest of the right column in articles. I will continue to update if I find anything changed on the sites, so check for Stylish updates occasionally with the Find Updates button under User Styles in Tools \u003e Add-ons.\r\n\r\nSee my other two userstyles, one for Engadget and one for the Anandtech:\r\nstyle 31268\r\nstyle 31785\r\n\r\nREMOVED:\r\n* left vertical bar\r\n* 'Cheetos' very top of page downward-expanding banner ad\r\n* recent stories and ads (or sometimes a facebook box) above menubar (bar that says 'Gizmodo', 'Gawker', etc)\r\n* ads which replaces FAQ-box hashtags (such as 'Cheetos' scrolling leaderboard)\r\n* ads on menubars next to site name (says sponsored by); done by always displaying 'default' menubar image instead\r\n* different color FAQ-box hashtag text and share-box button; again done by overriding with 'default' colors\r\n* as much facebook, digg, etc meta stuff as I could\r\n* \"welcome form\" popup\r\n\r\n---Blogroll Specific---\r\n* big ads between posts\r\n* little banners for \"Feature\", \"Exclusive\", a weekly or otherwise theme, etc. that sit above the date and author\r\n* sponsored and advertisement posts, including the colored bars (usually blue-ish) above and below them\r\n* digg boxes\r\n\r\n---Article Specific---\r\n* ads or 'follow us on facebook' boxes at the bottom of articles\r\n* big digg boxes\r\n* big \"theme\" or category banners above menubar (such as \"The Next iPhone\")\r\n* right column 'more about' and 'related posts' box of hashtags and story links (might add 'more about' hashtag back in later, maybe relocate to menubar)\r\n* right column meta box (has facebook, digg, retweet buttons)\r\n\r\n---Hashtag Page Specific---\r\n* ads between comment/posts\r\n\r\n\r\nCHANGED:\r\n* widen everything\r\n\r\n---Blogroll Specific---\r\n* widen article titles and text\r\n* center all big images and videos \r\n* maximize article text box widths by article type\r\n\r\n---Article Specific---\r\n* stretch text full page width\r\n* center all images and videos\r\n* left align 340px and 158px leading images (meant to have text next to them)\r\n* move date, author, # comments, and # page views to underneath the article title\r\n* widen comments and center their images/videos\r\n* widen gallery thumbs boxes on regular articles\r\n------Gallery Articles------\r\n* caption/text box on right widened\r\n* comments for gallery pages un-widened to prevent right column overflowing onto them\r\n\r\n---Hashtag Pages---\r\n* posts and comments widened\r\n* #HASHTAG for page moved below menubar\r\n* hashtag description moved besides #HASHTAG\r\n\r\n---Miscellaneous---\r\n* spacing for Gizmodo's app directories ( http://gizmodo.com/tag/iphone-apps-directory \u0026 http://gizmodo.com/tag/androidappsdirectory )\r\n\r\n\r\nNOT CHANGED:\r\n* text sizes (unless you adjust the article title option)\r\n* fonts\r\n* pictures/logos\r\n* background/text colors\r\n\r\n\r\nOPTIONS:\r\nThis userstyle does have a few options built in for the user to change if they so choose.
