This is the first in what I hope will be a series of "Scores in Sidebar" styles for tracking live sports scores in the sidebar. It shrinks the relevant data to 300px and sets the sidebar width to 300px. The larger the screen the better it looks.
I use it with a modified version of Auto Hide Sidebar. If you can't get it to work properly with Auto Hide Sidebar leave a message in the forum and I'll post my modifications.
To use this you will need to create a bookmark to http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/pga/leaderboard Right click on the bookmark and click the "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" box.
Future versions will use other sports scores sites that always show the current week's scores and that I don't otherwise use regularly (since the style will make unreadable in a full page and the page will always open in the sidebar).
I have removed the scrollbars (overflow:hidden) to provide more space for data. You can still navigate with the keyboard but not with mouse wheel. I'm still working on/hoping to find a way to make an extremely thin scrollbar.
14 September 2007 - Change the font/color of the players' names to bold black. Added feature to highlight your favorite players (see the new screenshot).
Install options
- Install Stylish for Firefox, Thunderbird, Flock, Mozilla Suite, SeaMonkey, or Songbird. If you have Stylish already, make sure you're using the latest version and have JavaScript enabled.
- You need Firefox with Stylish to use this style. Get it now, then Install Stylish, then come back here to install this style.
- - load into the Stylish extension where you can preview and save it.
