It affects the SERP itsself, as well as the Google-startpage.

Erhoeht die Breite der Google.de-Suchbox (Eingabefeld) und verkleinert die Schriftgroesse, so dass mehr auf einmal sichtbar ist. Fuer Menschen ohne Sehschwaechen die bessere Alternative. Wirkt sich auf die Suchergebnisseiten genauso wie auf die Startseite aus.
