Enlarging the tabs drop-down button and making it standout was created by request as a concept. One can easily customize the sizes or color.
Depends on color of your toolbars whether you would find it useful or not, my toolbars have a light background but someone with darker blue background and very dark blue drop-down arrow would have a very hard time seeing this button so have seen why it was requested.
I recommend keeping with Stylish 0.5.9 which allows you to pick a color using the Insert Button. Stylish 1.0.2 is a styling and usage nightmare, and best to be avoided as the new manager provides less information, provides less functionality and displays only half as many styles in the same space.
