Maximizes the area for displaying articles by removing all the stuff that keyboard lovers never use anyway. Be ready to learn your keyboard shortcuts though because this is a really stripped down interface.
If you want more flexibility, try the Google Reader Absolutely Customizable Greasemonkey script ( http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/58577 ). It has an options dialog to allow you to choose which customizations you want without having to edit the code.
Fully compatible with Google Reader Absolutely Dark & Google Reader Absolutely Dark Blue.
