In Firefox 3.1 beta 2, the new "New Tab" button in the right side of the tabs bar is ridiculously small and quite hard to click.
This makes it larger, so you can click it instead of snipe it ;)
Starting from Firefox 3.1 beta 3 (that includes 3.5 and 3.6), the button is now the right size (and position !) most of the time, but is still too small when the tabs are overflowing, so this is still needed if you use dozens of tabs.
