Adblock Plus is hard-coded to use the Firefox 1.5 default theme close tab button image as the close button for its filter editor. This style makes it use your current theme's close tab button instead.
@Wladimir: That may be true if this were just about updating it for Firefox 2.0, but it also has it use the icon from the current theme (for example, if one were to want to use the Qute image), so, I'm still leaving this up for now (Adblock Plus should be able to do this by just giving that image the class "tabs-closebutton", which should work in more cases than this style [all of them in theory]).
