To VAR1016 - If you want to use it only in Google Reader you should just install this script as a user script (Load as user script not into stylish) and then use the Greasemonkey "exclude pages" feature to exclude the unwanted Google subdomains (http*//mail.google/* http*//docs.google/* .......) *****

Wow, talk about a problem solver! By the end of the day, I cannot stand pages with a while background, and installing this as a greasemonkey user script solved my problems with a number of pages I reference regularly. I also have it installed at a style, in those cases where the eye-balls are just too tired to deal with any white page backgrounds. As a gm user script it is a snap to add and exclude pages as I see fit. *****

works great for classic google but like all google-related styles, there are a myriad of other details to cover. an example is added content to igoogle ... some but not all of those have a white background. ****
