The author has marked this style as obsolete.
Doesn't work anymore; unfortunately, I don't have the time or inclination to keep up with the changes made by the LH designers.

2007-07-15 : updated and rewritten to account for Lifehacker site changes.
Much the same as before - a more basic, readable version of the Lifehacker site. Uses lots of relative units, so it should make the site more accessible (for example, you don't have to scroll across the page on an 800X600 screen).
Blocks a lot of unnecessary images, so load times are also improved.
Doesn't play well with the screenshot tour posts; they are still navigable, but if you need this Lifehacker feature, you may not like this style.
If you would like a less severe style, try Better Lifehacker. It doesn't 'break' the site.
@Urban Legend - Thanks for the feedback. The number of comments and the last commenter does appear on the page, and some of us don't have such great eyesight!
The front page link popups do appear some distance below the actual links - I am working on a way round this, but it's quite complicated. TBH, I've never looked at a screenshot tour, but I see that some text overlaps and that it is also unstyled. More work, I guess.

You take way too much away using this style. You break the functionality of the "Screenshot Tour" and the main navigation pop-ups are all over the place. The paragraphs should not be justified as this would leave huge gaps in sentences. Try reducing your font size we are not blind. Reinstate useful information the appear on the front page such as the number of comments and who last commented.
Awesome!
Awesome style!
Too much is too much : this is not streamlined, it's bleached! Looks more like an RSS feed than as a website page : ugly, sorry!
Of all the Lifehacker styles I've tried on this site, in my opinion, this is definitely the best. Great job!
Very nice, except, if there are comments on a certain post, the main page no longer shows such. For example, if a post has 20 comments, the main page will say something like "20 comments, latest by Scott." With your script, the "20 comments, latest by Scott" is removed. Any chance you can tweak the script to re-enable that line (or maybe tell me how to do it myself)?
Thanks,
Scott
Much nicer.
